My diaper donation program to Tijuana shelters is growing to services.
I just did another donation dropoff of diapers, tampons, pads, and formula to shelters serving immigrant and refugee women with children at the border. I’m excited to be back in Tijuana.
The border is different now. With the new US administration, there is no movement on asylum cases, nor will there likely be.
This means thousands are at the border with no hope of asylum, even if they have a court date.
Aside from the regular items we donate, with huge support from our communities, we have decided to pay for babysitting services for women in shelters or being served by organizations in Tijuana. This will allow them time to seek other resources, plan, and even work.
If you have supported these efforts in the past, you have my Venmo. And if you need my Venmo please message me.
Since 2018 we have donated over 50,000 diapers, several thousand pads and tampons, and a hundred or so pounds of formula.
This has become the mainstay of my business and my love for so many amazing organizations doing such impactful work at the border, creating safe places for women with children who have fled violence for something better.
